About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Trace Ireland website at www.traceireland.com and the purchase of Heritage Packages from us. By using our website or purchasing a Heritage Package, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

What Trace Ireland provides
Trace Ireland provides personalised Irish heritage itinerary documents, referred to as Heritage Packages, based on Irish family surnames. Each Heritage Package includes information about the likely ancestral county, clan history, name origin and travel recommendations associated with the surname provided.
It is important to understand what our service does and does not provide:
- Trace Ireland maps a surname to likely Irish origins, county, history and travel ideas
- Trace Ireland does not verify an individual lineage
- Trace Ireland does not replace formal genealogical research
- Trace Ireland does not prove that a specific ancestor came from a specific parish without records
- The information provided is based on the general history and distribution of Irish surnames and should be understood as educational and informational in nature
Ordering and payment
Orders are placed through our website and payment is processed securely by Stripe. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that the information you provide is accurate.
All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD). The current pricing is:
- Standard Heritage Package: $25 USD, delivered within 5 working days
- Fast Track Heritage Package: $35 USD, delivered within 48 hours
Prices are subject to change. The price displayed at the time of your order is the price you will be charged.
Delivery
Heritage Packages are delivered by email to the address you provide at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and begin from the point of confirmed payment. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver within the stated timeframe.
If you have not received your Heritage Package within the stated delivery window, please contact us at info@traceireland.com and we will investigate promptly.
Refunds and cancellations
Because Heritage Packages are digital products delivered by email, we are generally unable to offer refunds once the package has been delivered. However we take the quality of our work seriously. If you are not satisfied with your Heritage Package, please contact us at info@traceireland.com within 14 days of purchase and we will do our best to resolve the issue, which may include revising your package or, at our discretion, issuing a refund.
If your package has not yet been delivered, you may cancel your order by contacting us as soon as possible after placing it.
Intellectual property
All content in your Heritage Package is created by the Trace Ireland team and is provided for your personal use. You may print it, share it with family members and use it for personal trip planning. You may not reproduce, resell or distribute it commercially without our written permission.
All content on the Trace Ireland website, including text, design and imagery, is the property of Trace Ireland and may not be reproduced without permission.
Limitation of liability
Trace Ireland provides Heritage Packages as an informational and educational service. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the historical and genealogical information we provide, but we cannot guarantee that the information is complete or accurate in every individual case.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trace Ireland shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our service or your Heritage Package.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
